Tonight the husband was an angel and kind of handled the main part of dinner. He made bacon burgers with sautéed jalapenos and onions. SO GOOD. We were going to have leftover twice baked cauliflower but there wasn’t a ton left so I decided to throw this super easy Crispy Asparagus in the oven!
This is one of the easiest, yummiest side dishes that we make consistently! I usually keep a couple of bundles of asparagus on hand just so I can have an easy side dish when I don’t know what else to make. Half of the kids even like it and thats pretty good considering they are all hit and miss with their veggies!
Okay so to the recipe!
Step one: Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
Step two: Unbundle your asparagus and put it on a cookie sheet.
Step 3: Put quite a bit on olive oil on top. I would say half a cup or more. This is the most important part and the key to making the asparagus crispy.
Step 4: Season with garlic salt and pepper.
Step 5: Roll the asparagus in the olive oil so the whole piece is coated.
Step 6: Bake for 45 minutes or until asparagus has reached desired crispness.
